How to Register and Download CloudSQL Desktop?
Here’s a straightforward way to start using CloudSQL Desktop:
Step 1: Go to the official Datafusing CloudSQL home page. Click on the start free CloudSQL trial button.
Step 2: On the Register tab, enter your first name, last name, username, and password, and Click on Register to Download button.
Note: No payment or credit card details are required for the free trial.
Step 3: Select “I agree to the Terms and Conditions” checkbox and click on Free Download button. You will be navigated to the receipt page.
Note: First Name, Last Name, Email Address will be auto populated.
Step 4: From the receipt page, copy your license key and keep it. You will need this key to activate CloudSQL.
Note: You’ll also receive a copy of the license key by email for safekeeping.
Step 5: Click on “Click here to download” link to download the CloudSQL zip file.
How to Launch CloudSQL Application on Your Computer?
Step 1: Unzip the file (downloaded in the last step) to a preferred folder on your computer.
Step 2: Open the folder and double-click CloudSQL.exe to start the application.
Step 3: When prompted, enter your license key (which you copied in step 4 on previous section) and business email and click on Activate button.
Note: Once the key is activated, CloudSQL Desktop will be ready to use.
Common Issues with License Keys
Here are some common issues and their solutions:
- If you get an error while activating the license, ensure that you have entered the exact license key without leading or trailing spaces or extra characters.
- If you could not note down the license key from the receipt page, check your email inbox or spam folder for the correct key.
- In case of any errors during activation, make sure you have a stable internet connection during the activation process and any network security tools will not prevent contacting DataFusing server for activation.
